Assessments of soil erosion and crop productivity with process models (EPIC)

Assessments of soil erosion and crop productivity with process models (EPIC)

Soil erosion and crop productivity: 67-103

The assessment of soil erosion and crop productivity with the Erosion-Productivity Impact Calculator (EPIC) model is outlined. The model uses inputs of hydrology, weather, erosion, nutrients, soil temperature, a crop growth model, tillage and economics to simulate productivity for any given number of years. The results of the model tests are given for a 50 year period.
