Assimilation rate and growth analysis of yielding ability in 25 cultivars of mungbean (Vigna radiata (Roxb) Wilczek)

Assimilation rate and growth analysis of yielding ability in 25 cultivars of mungbean (Vigna radiata (Roxb) Wilczek)

Legume Research 9(1): 29-33

In a study of 25 varieties, 4 characters were measured at 4 growth stages, beginning with the second trifoliate leaf stage. Significant genotypic variation was found for leaf area, specific leaf weight (SLW), T-O value (a measurement of total green area) and leaf area ratio (LAR) at one or more stages of growth. The highest yielding variety, H72-3, had the highest leaf area, T-O value and LAR at maturity.
