Association analysis of characters in sunflower



Journal of Oilseeds Research 3(1): 95-97



Data are tabulated on phenotypic and genotypic correlations among yield/plant, plot yield and 3 yield components studied in a diallel cross of 6 inbreds. The genotypic correlation coefficients were greater than the corresponding phenotypic coefficients and were significant for all combinations except percentage achene set with 1000-achene weight. Path coefficient analysis showed that yield/plant had the strongest direct effect on plot yield, followed by percentage achene set.
