Assumptions relating to imperfections in timber columns

Assumptions relating to imperfections in timber columns

Holz als Roh und Werkstoff 45(6): 231-235

Measurements were made on inclination, curvature, cross-sectional dimensions and m.c. in solid timber and glulam columns in 13 buildings in W. Germany. Geometrical imperfections were on the 'safe side' in relation to current design criteria.
