Astilbe for cut flowers and pot plants - a combination of growing in the open and in a greenhouse

Astilbe for cut flowers and pot plants - a combination of growing in the open and in a greenhouse

Gron Viden, Havebrug (6): 4

Advice is given on propagation and outdoor culture prior to potting up for forcing as a cut flower crop (in 15-cm-diameter pots) or as flowering pot plants (11-cm pots). The plants are cooled (12 weeks at 5 degrees C or below) before being brought into the glasshouse.
