Asturian populations of maize. I. Morphological-vegetative description and variability

Asturian populations of maize. I. Morphological-vegetative description and variability

Anales de la Estacion Experimental de Aula Dei 18(3-4): 177-186

The results are presented of a study of 18 plant, ear and grain traits in 66 populations representing a wide sample of local germplasm from Asturias in northern Spain. Mean values of the traits for the populations are given. Analysis of variance for the traits revealed significant differences between populations. Population X environment interaction was significant for 7 traits.
