Attachment in chronically undernourished infants

Attachment in chronically undernourished infants

Nestle Foundation annual report 1986: 155-162

An assessment was made of the social and emotional development of 85 infants 17 to 21 months old of normal birthweight, well nourished or with moderate malnutrition (85% or less of expected weight-for-age) in Santiago, Chile. All of the nutritionally healthy infants were considered to be within normal limits of weight-for-height whereas only 71.4% of the chronically undernourished infants were in that category.
