Attaining self-sufficiency in food for the nation

In 1986 Poland's exports of agricultural food products exceeded imports. Linking domestic food industries to those abroad, the smooth functioning of Poland's domestic market and self sufficiency in means of production are, however, the real determinants of self sufficiency in agricultural food production. In fact, Poland does not receive sufficient currency through her exports to cover imports of production equipment.
