In the laboratory in Romania, 6 batches of Thuringin (a preparation of Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. thuringiensis) manufactured by the Calafat Enterprise for Biopreparations were tested, using the maize pyralid Ostrinia nubilalis as the test species, and compared with the standard product Thuricide HP (B. thuringiensis subsp. kurstaki).
