Attractiveness of various types of traps to the garlic fly (Suillia univittata (von Roser))

Attractiveness of various types of traps to the garlic fly (Suillia univittata (von Roser))

Pflanzenschutzberichte 48(3): 22-26

The attractiveness of several types of traps to the garlic pest Suillia univittata was evaluated in the field in Austria. Yellow, white and orange sticky traps caught 17, 13 and 14% of individuals, respectively, compared with 100% in yellow pitfall traps filled with 4% formalin, which were situated beside the sticky traps. Pitfall traps of several colours caught similar numbers of flies.
