Atypical pneumonia associated with Mycoplasma ovipneumoniae in housed lambs

Atypical pneumonia associated with Mycoplasma ovipneumoniae in housed lambs

Medicina Veterinaria 4(7/8): 357-361

Bacteriological examination of four outbreaks of atypical pneumonia, with morbidity rates of up to 66%, among young lambs reared in poorly ventilated houses in three provinces during 1985-86, revealed M. ovipneumoniae to be the agent. PM examination of seven cases revealed foci of atelectasis corresponding to interstitial proliferative pneumonia.
