Aujeszky's disease: principal characteristics of the control campaign in France

Depending on the density of pig production in a given region, spread of Aujeszky virus occurs through sales of breeding stock, or piglets (low density areas) and aerosol (high density areas). Sales of breeding stock in France are regulated. Furthermore, control measures are adapted to regional epidemiological situations.
