Automated analysis of the phenotype of interphase nuclei in different genotypes of rye Secale cereale L

By means of an electronic scanning device, qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the heterochromatic system (chromocentres) of differentially stained interphase nuclei in roots were obtained (number of chromocentres, area, optical density, distance between chromocentres and distribution of chromocentres). The genotypes studied included some obtained by cross pollinating Moskovskii Karlik and the F2 of an inbred line with signs of physiological depression.
