Automatic dam management and river regulation for irrigation purposes

Automatic dam management and river regulation for irrigation purposes

Irrigation Design for Management Asian Regional Symposium: 393-402

The development micro-computers and data transmission networks, and the definition of mathematical methods dealing with control systems, have pointed the way to a new approach to improving the efficiency in feeder canal control. Using these new techniques, since 1984 a complete set of automatic control equipment allowing the irrigaiton of 4000 ha, with an efficiency rate close to 0.9 has been established.
