Autumn treatment of long term seed crop leys of red fescue (Festuca rubra) and smooth stalked meadow grass (Poa pratensis)

Nordisk Jordbrugsforskning 68(4): 552

This paper was presented at the Nordiske Jordbrugsforskeres Forening Seminar No. 91, on forage plant seed production, held at Malmo, Sweden in 1986. In field trials started in 1980 at Roskilde the effects of various autumn treatments on seed crops of P. pratense Erte and Trampus and Festuca rubra Rubina and Veni were investigated. The treatments included various combinations of burning, desiccation and harrowing after the autumn harvest.
