Availability of amino acids in yeast raised on hydrocarbons for carp, Cyprinus carpio

Journal of Ichthyology 27(2): 23-28
Availability of amino acids in yeast raised on hydrocarbons for carp, Cyprinus carpio
Carp, mean weight 40 g, were given pellets, about 4% of body weight, of yeast grown on n-paraffins. The yeast contained in DM, with digestibilities in parentheses, protein 58.4 (88), fat 3.0 (67), carbohydrate 28.1 (82), ash 9.2 (54%), energy 2004 kJ/100 g (85%). The availability of the 18 amino acids studied was 93.4% and of the 10 essential amino acids 92.6%.
