Avirulence/virulence combinations of oat stem rust in Central, Central West and Central East Europe and their comparison with North American equivalents

, : Avirulence/virulence combinations of oat stem rust in Central, Central West and Central East Europe and their comparison with North American equivalents. Cereal Rusts Bulletin 15(1): 5-9

Avirulence/virulence combinations of isolates of Puccinia graminis f.sp. avenae from Austria, Czechoslovakia, the German Federal Republic, Poland and Switzerland indicate the distribution of virulence of stem rust on oats and the potential effectiveness of known stem rust resistance genes for European breeding programmes. The European combinations E3 - E9 correspond to N. American combinations NA 5, NA 50, NA 23, NA 21, NA 18, NA 27 and NA 22, respectively.
