Bacterial isolation from and transmission by Boophilus decoloratus and Boophilus geigyi

Bacteria were isolated from the haemolymph of engorged individuals of Boophilus decoloratus and B. geigyi which had been collected from cattle in Nigeria. Most taxa were also isolated from the eggs which the engorged females laid, and many of these bacteria were isolated from the larvae which hatched from the eggs.
