Genetic studies on breed differentiation of the native domestic animals in Bangladesh: 27-45



Biochemical polymorphism of domestic and jungle fowls in several areas of Bangladesh was studied using starch-gel or agar-gel electrophoresis. Out of 17 loci, 9 showed polymorphism in domestic and jungle fowls. Polymorphism at the Amy-3 (amylase) locus was detected in Bangladesh for the first time.
