Certified cultivars: New head lettuce cultivars

Certified cultivars: New head lettuce cultivars

Kerteszet es Szoleszet 36(29): 5

Cultivar Edina (Faust X Deci-Minor) grown in spring in an unheated plastic house matured a week later than the control Tavaszi Hajtato, but had larger, firmer heads (suitable for transport) and was less susceptible to diseases. It was found suitable for growing both commercially and in home gardens. Cultivar Majalis (Mona X Duna) was found suitable for outdoor growing. It produces medium-large, firm heads.
