Changes in some physicochemical properties of an acid red loam soil as affected by long term use of fertilisers & amendments

Changes in some physicochemical properties of an acid red loam soil as affected by long term use of fertilisers & amendments

Indian Journal of Agricultural Chemistry 20(2): 111-117

Soil chemical changes following 19 years of application of inorganic fertilizers and manures on a trial at Ranchi, India are recorded. FYM either alone or in combination with inorganic fertilizers and/or lime increased total organic carbon, humic fractions and cation exchange capacity and had a buffering effect on soil reaction.
