Comparative fertility in buffaloes with observed and timed insemination using two routes of PGF2 alpha administration

Comparative fertility in buffaloes with observed and timed insemination using two routes of PGF2 alpha administration

Veterinary Record 121(20): 475-476

For 8 injected with 25 mg PGF2 alpha intramuscularly and inseminated twice, 12 and 36 h after detection of oestrus, CR was 60% vs. 57.14 for 8 treated similarly and inseminated 96 plus 120 h after treatment. Corresponding figures for similar numbers of injected with 8 mg PGF2 alpha via the vulvo-submucosal route were 50 and 14.3%. For 6 untreated animals inseminated 12 plus 36 h after the detection of oestrus, the CR was 60%.
