Comparison of effectiveness and persistence of three hexazinone formulations

Comparison of effectiveness and persistence of three hexazinone formulations

Proceedings, New Zealand Weed and Pest Control Conference: 81-84

No significant difference in herbicidal effectiveness was found amongst the liquid, soluble powder, and granular hexazinone formulations tested for their selectivity in a Pinus radiata planting in a forestry situation. The soluble powder formulation showed the fastest decline in soil concn but all formulations decreased to less than 30% of initial concn within 4 weeks. Good grass control (less than 50% ground cover) was obtained for approx. 20 weeks.
