The morphological and phenological characteristics of 74 mother trees varied greatly. The fruits, which ripened on different dates, showed great variations with regard to colour, weight, size, shape, pulp to stone ratio, and stone to seed ratio. The occurrence of double seeds in some types was also recorded.
