Comparison of the results of cytological and bacteriological tests on the cervix and uterus of mares, as related to clinical findings

Norsk Veterinaertidsskrift 100(1): 21-30

Bacteriological and cytological findings from 120 swabs from 98 mares were compared with the corresponding clinical findings. Among swabs from which microorganisms were found, Streptococcus zooepidemicus and Escherichia coli were isolated in 46% and 22%, respectively.
