Computer nitrophosphate fertilizers. Computer-aided analysis of the nitric decomposition of phosphatic raw materials

Computer nitrophosphate fertilizers. Computer-aided analysis of the nitric decomposition of phosphatic raw materials

Revue Roumaine de Chimie 31(5): 547-564

Mathematical models of mass balance were used in a computer-aided analysis of the nitric acid decomposition of phosphate raw materials by the Norsk-Hydro method. Mathematical mass balance models were developed for each of the four component processes: acid mixing, decomposition, calcium nitrate crystallization, and calcium nitrate filtering and washing. Computer aided analysis correlations were determined between the nitric acid required and the phosphate composition.
