Samples of various fruits, vegetables and seeds of pea and bean taken in 1984 were analysed. The contents of moisture and dietary fibre (DF) were estimated. Mean values for DF in cherry, prune, sweet cherry, apple and strawberry were 0.92, 1.24, 1.34, 1.70 and 1.97%, respectively. Average values for pear, apricot, black currant, blackberry, gooseberry, red currant, raspberry and white currant were 2.40, 2.74, 3.65, 3.72, 4.28, 5.32, 6.15 and 6.96%, respectively.
