The distribution of viral antigen in the central nervous system was studied in three cattle with Aujeszky's disease, applying the unlabelled peroxidase-antiperoxidase (PAP)-technique. There were slight histomorphological changes (satellitosis, perivascular lymphocytic infiltrations, proliferation of neuroglial cells) in the brain stem and cervical spinal cord.
