Contribution to immunoprophylaxis of paramyxovirus-1 infection of the pigeon

Contribution to immunoprophylaxis of paramyxovirus-1 infection of the pigeon

Beitrag zur Immunprophylaxe der Paramyxovirus 1 Infektion der Taube: 194

High antibody titres were observed by neutralization and haemagglutination inhibition (HAH) tests in egg yolk of pigeons. Titres in young pigeons varied depending on time of immunization of parent birds, with titres up to 6 log2. At 5 weeks of age maternal antibodies could not be detected by the HAH test. 96% of crop milk samples were positive with average titres of about 4 log2.
