Contribution to the knowledge of Gyrodactylus gurleyi Price, 1937 (Monogenea: Gyrodactylidae)

, : Contribution to the knowledge of Gyrodactylus gurleyi Price, 1937 (Monogenea: Gyrodactylidae). Folia Parasitologica 34(3): 205-209

The specimens of Gyrodactylus from Carassius auratus and Cyprinus carpio haematopterus in the Amur river (USSR) previously identified as G. longoacuminatus Zitnan, 1964, forma minor Ergens, 1985 were shown to be G. gurleyi and were synomized with the latter species. C. c. haematopterus was recorded as a new host for G. gurleyi.

We have recently shown that permeabilization of the inner mitochondrial membrane by calcium plus prooxidants is associated with oxidation of protein thiols forming cross-linked protein aggregates (Fagian, M. Tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF alpha) has multiple biological functions including the prolonged activation of the collagenase and c-jun genes, which are regulated via their AP-1 binding sites. We show that incubating human fibroblasts with TNF a...

It was found that after boric acid treat...
