Contribution to the knowledge of some pests occurring in spring wheat sown as a successive crop

Contribution to the knowledge of some pests occurring in spring wheat sown as a successive crop

Probleme de Protectia Plantelor 13(3): 263-266

In fields in Romania, spring wheat was experimentally planted in 1983 and 1984 as a second crop following the harvest of barley grown as a seed crop. Observations in July of both years revealed heavy infestation of the wheat by 16 species of insects, the infestation rates averaging 47 individuals/msuperscript 2 for cicadellids and 34.3/msuperscript 2 for aphids, while 68.6% of the plants examined were attacked by Diptera.
