Contribution to the practical application of exoantigen tests
Serological methods for the diagnosis of fungi are more and more used in parallel to the classical morphological and biochemical criteria. In this study exoantigen tests based on the immunodiffusion technique are presented for the species diagnosis in the genera Chrysosporium, Trichophyton, Aspergillus, Penicillium and Cladosporium. Such exoantigen tests are similarly reliable but much faster than the classical methods.
