Contribution to the study of albumin and prolamin contents in the grain of newly bred forms of winter wheat

Vedecke Prace Vyskumneho Ustavu Rastlinnej Vyroby v Piest' anoch, Obilniny i Strukoviny 21: 91-98

In a study (1981-82) of the control variety Slavia and the crosses (1) L247/69 X Avrora F10, (2) (Jansen 43 X Washington 19) X TP114 F6 and (3) (Nadadores X Avrora) X TP114 F6, forms with a high content of albumins, mainly derived from cross 1, gave lower grain yields than those with a high content of prolamins. The highest grain yield was given by form 164 from cross 2 (8.6 t/ha), but form 184 from cross 1 had the best nutritional quality, with an albumin yield of 6.7 t/ha.
