Contribution to the study of potato aphids in Greece

Contribution to the study of potato aphids in Greece

Entomologia Hellenica, 41: 11-14

Rhopalosiphoninus latysiphon, Aphis frangulae, Macrosiphum euphorbiae and Myzus persicae were all found in the potato-growing centre at Metsevo in Greece. The 1st species infested the roots and underground stems of the potato plants and is a new record for that country. The 2nd species, which infested the foliage, is reported for the 1st time on potato in Greece, was the most abundant of all the species found, was highly resistant to methamidophos and had to be controlled with deltamethrin.
