Contribution to the study of the effect of genotypic and phenotypic variation on the agronomic value of the seeds in soyabean (Glycine hispida Max.)

Contribution to the study of the effect of genotypic and phenotypic variation on the agronomic value of the seeds in soyabean (Glycine hispida Max.)

Arhiv za Poljoprivredne Nauke 48(169): 1-90

In a 3-year study of the G. hispida varieties Chippewa 64, Rampage and Zvecka 73, growth period duration differed significantly between varieties (156 days in Zvecka 73 vs. 130-137 in the rest). The number of flowers, young pods set and mature pods per plant were all correlated with growth period duration, and also with seed yield per plant. The number of pods shed per plant differed significantly between varieties (being greatest in Chippewa 64) but did not differ between years.
