Contribution to the technique of cucumber production in greenhouses by organic farming

Lucrari Stiintifice, Institutul Agronomic "N Balcescu", B Horticultura 28: 19-24

Plants grown with organic fertilizers (FYM, leaf mould + superphosphate (control), pig manure compost or spent mushroom compost) and treated with the insecticide Ultracid (methidathion) gave satisfactory yields of 95.6-103.9 t/ha. The best results were obtained with pig compost at 40 t/ha as a basal fertilizer and at 20 t/ha as a top dressing.
