Cercetari Agronomice in Moldova 20(4): 73-78



In 1968-84 on a cambic chernozem, max. daily water consumption (41-53 msuperscript 3/ha) occurred in June in winter wheat, Phaseolus vulgaris, potatoes, sunflowers and Medicago sativa and in July in maize, soyabeans and sugarbeet. Total water consumption was highest in M. sativa (6099 msuperscript 3) and sugarbeet (5497 msuperscript 3/ha) and lowest in P. vulgaris (3562 msuperscript 3/ha).
