Contributions to improving sunflower cultivation techniques on the Moldavian Plain under irrigation
In field trials in 1983-85 at Podu-Iloaie, 5 sunflower hybrids were grown at 30 000-80 000 plants/ha. Seed yields increased from 2.4 to 4.5 t/ha with increase in plant density and mean seed yields in each hybrid were 3.46-3.61 t.
