Contributions to weed control in Phaseolus vulgaris crops under conditions of irrigation

In field trials at Marculesti in 1970-84, 4 litres trifluralin, Dual or Eptam or 2-4 litres Basagran ha applied before sowing gave good control of grass weeds in P. vulgaris. When P. vulgaris was grown between rows of maize, weeds were best controlled by 5 litres Lasso + 2-4 litres Basagran/ha. Trifluralin controlled volunteer plants in crop rotations and herbicide-resistant weeds were controlled by harrowing or handweeding.
