Control of Globodera rostochiensis using a D-D type nematicide produced in Poland

Nematox liquid 50, containing not less than 50% of 1,3-dichloropropene, 48% 1,2-dichloropropane and 2% 1,2,3-trichloropropane, is produced in Poland from a chemical by product. In field tests at 300 and 600 dmsuperscript 3/ha (applied to the soil by plough-rotary cultivator) it controlled 91-99% of nematodes (plant parasites, mycophages, saprobionts). At 600 dmsuperscript 3/ha the control of plant parasitic forms was similar to that of Telone (produced abroad) at 200 dmsuperscript 3/ha.
