Control of Rhizopus biosorbents' quality during propagation

In studies of Rhizopus biosorbents, strength of copper binding by the dead biomass and the concn of sorption sites fell as the time of growth was increased. High magnesium levels in the growth medium were necessary for high biosorptive yield of R. javanicus principally because magnesium encouraged biomass production. It had little effect on the strength of metal binding.
