, : Control of actinomycosis in specialized beef cattle units. Veterinariya, Moscow, USSR (11): 35-36

Single or multiple lesions of 'actinomycosis' (causal agent not determined) were present in an unstated number of beef cattle also affected by vitamin A deficiency. In two-thirds of cases the lesions were confined to skin and subcutaneous tissue of the head. Regional lymph nodes were involved in 27%, 'wooden tongue' in 3.4% and 'lumpy jaw' in 3.6%.
