Veterinariya, Moscow, USSR (11): 35-36
Control of actinomycosis in specialized beef cattle units
Single or multiple lesions of 'actinomycosis' (causal agent not determined) were present in an unstated number of beef cattle also affected by vitamin A deficiency. In two-thirds of cases the lesions were confined to skin and subcutaneous tissue of the head. Regional lymph nodes were involved in 27%, 'wooden tongue' in 3.4% and 'lumpy jaw' in 3.6%.
