In greenhouse experiments, chlorothalonil (1125 p.p.m.), mancozeb (1200), bitertanol (125), thiophanate-methyl + thiram (400), triadimefon (125), triforine (100) and oxycarboxin (375) gave good protection of Phaseolus vulgaris when sprayed up to 15 d before inoculation with urediospores of Uromyces phaseoli var. typica Oxycarboxin and triforine showed curative effects when sprayed up to 6 d after inoculation and bitertanol and triadimefon up to 3 d.
