Control of damping-off in Pinus radiata seedlings

Soil was inoculated with Fusarium sp., Pythium sp. or Rhizoctonia sp. before sowing radiata pine seeds. Ten treatments were applied to control damping off. Percentage germination 45 days after sowing was n.s.d. between treatments. Incidence of damping off, recorded 60 days after sowing, was significantly different between treatments. Dazomet and methyl isothiocyanate gave complete control of damping off.
