The Cuscuta sp. infestation in Medicago sativa on sites in the high desert area of California began to emerge on 20 May. After an initial heavy flush emergence continued, albeit at a much reduced rate, for the entire season. Several dinitroaniline compounds applied before Cuscuta sp. emerged gave effective control, with prodiamine showing the longest residual activity.
