The biological control of Trialeurodes vaporariorum by the aphelinid parasite Encarsia formosa is not successful under all circumstances. To be able to use biological control, an additional selective pest-suppressing agent is needed in some situations. The possibility of using Aschersonia aleyrodis, an entomogenous fungus selective on Aleyrodidae, in an integrated pest management schedule in glasshouses is discussed.
