Control of irrigation systems

, : Control of irrigation systems. KTBL Schrift, Kuratorium fur Technik und Bauwesen in der Landwirtschaft eV German Federal Re ic (328): 115-124

Methods of measurement for fully automatic control of greenhouse irrigation systems for vegetables and ornamental plants are reported, including measurement of climatic factors, radiation, evaporation, moisture content and tensiometer measurements. The questions of crop location and substrate, water distribution system, when water should be applied and the possibility of linking irrigation with fertilizer application are addressed.
