Control of pheasant reproduction

7th European Poultry Conference, Paris 1986, Volume 1: 148-152

A management system for pheasants is described. The system enables individual birds to be identified and recorded for egg, semen and chick production. Body weight is measured at 16 wk. Birds are initially housed "in very good conditions", and are later kept under wire. Adults are kept in individual cages.
