This booklet outlines the biology and pathogenicity of Scutellonema cavenessi on groundnuts (Arachis hypogaea) in Senegal. The most effective control method was DBCP at 15 litres/ha which gave 20-220% increase in crop yield and 40-270% increase in straw yield, in field trials. Millet (Pennisetum americanum) and sorghum yields were also increased by 17-221% and 40-440% resp. in the year following treatment.
