Control of rice root nematode with carbofuran



International Rice Research Newsletter 12(3): 39-40



Microplot field experiments conducted in 1983 and 1984 in Orissa, India, showed that yields of rice Jaya increased from 2.2-2.7 kg to 4.0-4.4 kg/16m-2 plot when seedlings from a carbofuran-treated nursery were treated with carbofuran at 1 kg a.i./ha 50 days after transplanting.
